Sheldon Rubin - Chief Technology Officer |

Sheldon is an Electrical Engineer with over 30 years of hands-on and management experience, both domestic and international, primarily in the area of physical measurement sensors and instrumentation products used in adverse marine environments. He began his career with valuable experience in the US Navy serving as crewmember onboard manned deep submersibles such as the Bathyscath Trieste and Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle II (Avalon). He also participated in many first-of-a-kind projects, such as the world’s first ROV, El Tortuga, a swimming video camera intended for use during the internal examination of a sunken US nuclear submarine in 18,000+ feet of seawater.
Related Past Experience:
He has extensive experience with low level, low noise analog, digital and embedded processor circuit design and assembly level embedded firmware design, especially for low power, intrinsically safe and explosion-proof applications. His multi-discipline skills include PCB layout, mechanical design, CAD, sensor design, packaging and marine corrosion. He has specialized in the design of ruggedized, high reliability, fault tolerant and widely distributed instrumentation systems. His hands-on experience includes work in engineering, manufacturing, production test, sales and adverse field and marine environments. He has worked extensively with customers to define and develop products and systems tailored to their exact requirements.

Gaurav Sharma - Embedded Engineer |

Gaurav is our Embedded Engineer responsible for designing and developing the firmware for the suite of embedded processors being used in the SeaBotix mini ROV systems. Along with the enhancement of the present features, his work also includes development of new capabilities for the present range of SeaBotix’s under water vehicles.
Related Past Experience:
Gaurav graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Digital signal processing and communication systems. He then worked as a Research Engineer (DSP) for a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Arizona State University where he co-developed a new signature verification device based on an acoustic wave technology. The product finds significant usage in the fields of healthcare, retail banking and child care security.

Matt Green - Sr. Software / Firmware Engineer |

Professional Job Description:
A native San Diegan, Matt earned his engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines, in Golden, Colorado. After a year working on control systems for ski lifts in Grand Junction, Colorado, he returned home and began working for the General Atomics, DIII-D National Fusion Facility. Here, he supported plasma operations on the instrumentation and controls side as an Electrical Engineer. Five years later, looking for a change in setting, he transitioned to L-3, Dynamic Positioning and Control Systems as a Software Engineer. There, he developed vessel and power management systems for offshore drilling rigs and travelled extensively to Asia, Europe, West Africa, and the Gulf of Mexico. Another five years, and thousands of frequent flyer miles later, again looking for a change in setting, Matt is happy to join the team at SeaBotix, where he can continue to work in a field he is passionate about: controls and robotics.

Brook Wilson - Mechanical Engineer |

Professional Job Description:
Brook is the Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for the design and development of new ROV systems and tools. Coordinating with the mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, sales, and purchasing teams, Brook is an integral part of the SeaBotix team.
Related Past Experience:
An Ohio native, Brook earned his engineering degree from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. After college, Brook moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he worked for Belcan, providing engineering and design services for General Electric Aviation. While at Belcan, Brook gained experience working with the GEnX and F136 Joint Strike Fighter engine in electronics routing, packaging, and tolerance analysis.
He moved to Houston, Texas a few years later to work for Oceaneering Deepwater Technical Solutions where he designed hydraulic and electrical tooling for work class remotely operated vehicles.
After Oceaneering, Brook went to work for Schlumberger. While at Schlumberger, he worked for the Subsea Monitoring and Controls group where he developed deepwater housings for control units and modular chassis systems for electronic packaging. Brook later transferred to the Downhole Testing Group where he gained valuable experience in downhole metals, elastomers, seal design, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. After his time in Houston, Brook is happy to move to a more agreeable setting to continue his career as the mechanical design engineer at SeaBotix.
