Excellence in Customer Service |
|
Don,
I wanted to take a couple of minutes to tell you how much I
appreciate the customer service that is provided by SeaBotix.
Whenever we have a technical problem here it is quickly trouble shot
and resolved by the service department. It is also convenient having
prior military around (Seth, Whitaker and John) who understand the
need for a quick response or even to share a joke with. The service
department has a inviting atmosphere from the moment I am greeted by
Jorge and Mark when I walk in or from guys like Kip or John Harrison
when I see them in passing. Kevin always greets me with a smile a
hand shake and an open ear for any questions or potential future
solutions that might be needed. Overall Don The service depart is
fantastic and I can not think of a place with better customer service.
I also would like to inform you of how helpful all the people in the
sales and engineering department are. I have to say that Beth's
ability to accomplish any task that I have is amazing. I really feel
like a M.V.P with how she treats all the contract and supply issues
we have and the timely manner they are accomplished. I always like
how Jeff is available for the latest tip or trick into using our
ROV's in a more practical and professional manner. Sean is a
constant act of professionalism and a arrow in the right direction
towards future ROV use and guidance for the right ROV equipment. I
always appreciate Tami's positive and welcoming attitude every time
I am there. I would also like to thank you Don for the invitation to
the company events and professional development that has been so
helpful not only in ROV areas but life as well.
I really feel that your company and the people who work there are
what make ROV Operators like myself and others so successful in the
jobs that are accomplished. The SeaBotix ROV's are several steps
above the competition and continue to prove their worth ten fold on
every job we do.
Sincerely,
Gary J Wyer |

Robot camera takes scientists underwater |
| |
The clarity of the video was stunning. Snapper and porgies swam in front of the camera like it wasn't even there. A brilliant blue and green and yellow queen angelfish stared into the lens inquisitively. A whopper of a warsaw grouper filled the entire screen.
For the scientists, the University of South Alabama's ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) provides an intimate connection to the underwater creatures they study.

SeaBotix LBV Recovers AUV |
|
During an offshore military exercise, a foreign Navy had the misfortune of losing a Remus 600 AUV. The Remus AUV is approximately 3.25m long and weighs about 240Kg. Thrust comes from a single propeller while three variable fins provide maneuverability. Since the AUV travels at speeds up to 5 knots, it requires a fair amount of warning from its sensor inputs to make course adjustments, such as when it encounters an obstacle or an extreme variation in bottom terrain.
