Description
The use of a ROV for search and recover operations is growing, now that there is a small ROV that is capable enough. Dive depth restrictions or dangerous conditions are a great reason to put a ROV at risk rather than a human. The ability to survey a site, search for an item or person and even recover the object or person has tremendous value to search and rescue teams around the world.
Solutions
LBV offers a portable and very capable solution to the needs of search and rescue teams. Easily transported by a single person and very simple to learn to operate. Fitted with a three jaw grabber the LBV can retrieve objects weighing up to 40kg (88lbs) in water. Simply latch on and reel in with the umbilical. Fitting a sonar and tracking system improve the ability to quickly locate objects in poor conditions are at distance and also mark their position for a dive team to access.
