The Department of Primary Industries in Tasmania, Australia recently took delivery of their new LBV150S system with a few options. After carefully evaluating the available compact ROV systems the LBV was chosen based on the ease of operation and amount of thrust. Much the same as the Australian Institute of Marine Science the DPWIE is constrained to shallow water research from stricter dive regulations. The use of the LBV opens up a whole range of areas.
Complete with brushless thrusters, integrated control console the LBV150S system was delivered with training on site. The overall response from the attendees was the amazement of how easy LBV is to operate, quality of video and amount of power.
