Deployment Garage

SeaBotix offers a simple yet effective deployment garage to suit varying requirements. The ruggedly constructed garage can be used for such applications as extended operations at depth reducing deployment time and keeping the LBV protected while at depth.

The garage is a very simple design made from polyethylene starboard, aluminum and stainless steel hardware. It is designed to fit the four (4) or six (6) thruster LBV systems securely. During deployment or when the LBV is not in use the LBV can latch onto the stainless rod inside the garage with the grabber.

To deploy the LBV and garage either a special lifting umbilical or lifting line is required. With the LBV lifting umbilical the strain of the garage is easily handled without the requirement of additional lifting lines. A 30 to 50 meter (98 to 165 ft) section is left loose for the LBV. If a lifting line is used it is suggested to attach a hook type configuration to the line to hold the umbilical. The goal is to take away as much drag from the LBV as possible.

Depending on the operating conditions ballast weight is fitted to the bottom of the garage to increase stability.
