LBV600XL2 - Overview

The SeaBotix LBV600XL² is the ideal deep water rapid response portable ROV system. Expand the capability of the LBV150² systems by adding two (2) additional forward thrusters, increased depth rating to 600m (2,000ft), extended umbilical length of 750m (2,460ft), more powerful Brushless DC Thrusters, 700 lumen internal LED lighting, Fiber Optic video/data electronics and the custom lwLARS. The LBV600XL² offers extended reach, depth and thrust.

Power, power and more power
The already powerful high output Brushless DC thrusters offer amazing amounts of thrust in such a small design. Add two (2) more forward thrusters and the LBV600XL² has a tremendous amount of thrust for fighting those tough conditions. There is 1-lateral, 2-forward, and 1-vertical thruster, enabling maneuverability in four axes, just like a helicopter. The additional lateral thruster adds the capability to fly sideways, allowing the operator to keep either camera on target. On-the-fly, 10-step variable power control to each axis allows for smooth video and sensor recording. For added reliability, serviceability, and peace of mind, each thruster is identical and independent of the vehicle enclosure, ensuring no dynamic seals penetrate the vehicle’s electronics enclosure.

Lightweight Launch and Recovery System
The LBV600XL² is offered with the custom designed lwLARS (lightweight Launch and Recovery System) providing easy deployment, retrieval and cable management. Designed as a compact solution the lwLARS is not short on features with level wind, powered winch and sheave, boom and line counter. Setup is incredibly simple and fast. The full 750 meters of umbilical is easily managed.

Intuitive Controls
Operation of the LBV600XL² is simple with the standard Integrated Control Console featuring the acclaimed LBV Hand Controller. Standard Auto-Heading, Depth, and Trim, as well as all system functions are at your fingertips in a logical, simple layout. Added features include the 38 cm (15") monitor behind a waterproof panel, sunshade for direct light operations and sealed components for harsh environment operations. The programmable Video Overlay displays heading, depth, temperature, thruster gain settings, auto settings, cable turns, and time/date.

High-Quality Video and Sensor Data
The Fiber Optic video and data electronics provide crystal-clear images from the standard high-resolution color and low-light B/W cameras. Both cameras have a total 270º field of view through 180º rotation of the camera enclosure. The internal, fully-adjustable LED Lighting array provides brilliant, white light as it tracks the color camera. Use of Fiber Optic electronics include multiple RS232 channels for options such as sonar and positioning system. The programmable Video Overlay displays heading, depth, temperature, thruster gain settings, auto settings, cable turns, and time/date.

Options
The LBV600XL² is a very complete system, however, many options are available to further customize the system to each client's requirements. Add items like a three jaw grabber, scanning sonar, USBL tracking system and external lighting.
