Navigation Control Console |

Several options that are fitted to the LBV require a PC to either control or display the data. Such as sonar, tracking , altimeter and thickness gauge. The most common solution has been to use a laptop. However, there are many problems with using a laptop like their lack of ruggedness, integration and setup. The solution is the SeaBotix Navigation Control Console (NCC).
The NCC is the ideal integrated solution for operating a LBV fitted with sonar and/or tracking. Using the same case as the Integrated Control Console (ICC) with a 38cm (15in) daylight readable monitor in the lid the NCC is designed for harsh environments. The lower tray consists of a backlit waterproof keyboard and switch panel. Under the tray is the core of the NCC.
Ensuring there is adequate processing power the NCC is equipped with the latest Intel Duo Core 2 processor, 1 gigabyte of RAM, minimum of 120 gigabytes for the hard drive and multiple I/Os including two USB 2.0 ports and an Ethernet connection. Specification does varying slightly depending on what is currently released.
In addition to the PC is the inclusion of a video capture device. With an interconnect cable between the ICC and the NCC not only is data transferred but also video. When using the Tritech Micron sonar or tracking system there is a video input. You can record and view the video and sonar or tracking data real time. With the data recorded together it is easy to review after the mission is complete.
A GPS receiver is available as an option and can be one of many varieties depending on user preference. By including the GPS world position is provided for the LBV when being tracked or even when using sonar.
All connections are waterproof for use in harsh environments and the simple interface make setup and operation very intuitive. No longer are there numerous cables, video capture devices and power supplies to set up.
