Three Jaw Grabber - LBV |
 |
The Grabber is a useful tool for many applications. It can retrieve small objects, attach to a line, deploy a messenger line and so much more. Constructed from hard anodized aluminum and stainless steel hardware the grabber is rugged and protected from corrosion.
The Accessory + and - keys on the control console are used to manipulate the jaws. Using the auto functions you are able to concentrate on maneuvering to the object and selecting the best attachment method.
Mounted to the protective bumper frame the grabber can manually fore and aft. Under its own weight the LBV has a payload up to 500 grams. However, LBV can safely be used to retrieve an object weighing as much as 40kg in water. Simply attach to the object and pull it and LBV in by the umbilical. With the 6.5kgf of gripping power the jaws will stay closed.
The jaws of the grabber can be viewed through the camera when the camera chassis is rotated down to -15º as indicated on the video overlay. With the grabber mounted slightly off center the shaft does not interfere with downward vision.
Two Depth Ratings
There are two models depending on depth requirements. First is the standard grabber rated to 300 meters and the second is rated to 1,500 meters by use of an oil-compensator. This grabber is used on the LBV600XL2.
Optional Attachments
The grabber comes standard with the three jaw attachment. Additional attachments include a cutting tool, parallel two jaw and an interlocking three jaw set-up. Simply remove a few screws, twist off the head and screw on the new one. An attachment to suit each of your needs.
