Maintenance 300 Hours
line

Note: 300 hours of operation is an approximate and can be done either before or slightly after 300 hours.

This procedure is in addition to maintenance required after each use in clean or dirty water.

If your LBV is fitted with the SBT150 brushed thrusters the motors will soon require rebuilding. Inside the thruster is a brushed motor with a graphite brush that wears out around 300 to 500 hours depending on the operating conditions. You will be able to identify when the motor brushes are worn by erratic thruster behavior.

It is recommended you send in your thrusters to SeaBotix or an authorized service center to have new motors installed. At the same time the O-rings are replaced and the thrusters are returned like they were new.

Contact your nearest authorized service center or SeaBotix to arrange for your thruster rebuild.

How Many Hours on My LBV?

In the Menus of the LBV you can view the number of hours your LBV has been Powered ON (red LED on controller illuminated).

  • Press PGRM key
  • Press 5 for Main Menu
  • Press 3 for Diagnostics
  • Press 3 for Hours Run

Which Thrusters do I Have?

It is very simple to identify your type of thrusters. Only the LBV150BE2 or LBV150SE2 systems are supplied with SBT150 thrusters. Looking at your thrusters if there is a tube coming out of the rear connector end cap then you have the HPDC150 thrusters, if there is a seal screw you have the SBT thrusters.
