Video is noisy, rolling, dark or shows excessive ghosting when deployed (note: some out-of water video distortion is normal due to LBV’s proximity to SPS).
|
| Failure #1 |
Video circuit not optimally tuned. |
| Cause #1 |
RF Modulator VR-1 (the adjustable resistor found at the center, atop the RF Modulator board) is not correctly adjusted. |
| Fault Isolation #1 |
While observing video image, adjust potentiometer until optimal image is obtained. |
| Cause #2 |
Motherboard is not driving the RF Modulator at the correct frequency. |
| Fault Isolation #2 |
In the ‘Calibrate/Monitor’ menu, select ‘Reset to Default’. If video image is still distorted, increase or decrease RF frequency until image is improved. |
| Cause #3 |
LBV is set to incorrect format. |
| Fault Isolation #3 |
In the ‘Setup/Display Type’ menu, select proper format i.e., ‘NTSC/PAL M/N, or PAL I’, etc. |
| Cause #4 |
LBV System is in close proximity to Channel 3 transmitter. |
| Fault Isolation #4 |
Verify that system operates properly in another location. |
