No Thruster, Grabber and/or ELS Control, but video is present and cameras are controllable.

When thrusting (or operating auxiliary equipment, See Below)  in ‘X’ direction, The Video image goes blank, lamps go out, and the startup message ‘SeaBotix LBV150(300, 1500) is displayed. Normal (or slightly corrupted) Overlay Data is then shown.

Lateral or Vertical Thruster does not operate in one or both directions.

LBV turns to Port or Starboard when thrusting Forward or Aft.

No Camera image (Blue Screen), but LBV is controllable. Overlay Data is Present.

No Camera image (Black Screen), but LBV is controllable. Overlay Data is present (Usually when Deployed). Lighting Circuit is software-controllable, and light overlay indicator changes as expected.

Overlay Data not present on Video Display, despite having deenergized and reenergized the LBV System, and/or pressed the ‘position’ button several times.

When CC power button is pressed, the SPS acts normally, Video image is normal, ‘SeaBotix LBV150(et al.) appears, but Overlay Data is partial and LBV cannot be controlled. ‘SeaBotix, Inc. LBV150’ may or may not remain on screen. CC Auto Head and Depth LEDs may flash alternately(or ,one or the other are continuously lit) and Motherboard Communication LEDs remain unlit.

After some period of normal operations, LBV control is lost. CC Auto Head and Depth LEDs flash alternately. Video image is normal. LBV may or may not perform commands without operator input. SPS Communication Failure Section Isolation steps did not identify/isolate fault. OOK Systems only.

Partial, Sporadic or No Thruster, Grabber and/or ELS Control, but Video is Present and Cameras are Controllable. Or, One Thruster Position does not work, despite installing known-good thruster. There is 28VDC on the Backplane. Please contact SeaBotix for technical assistance with this step.

No Video. LBV is controllable. Boards are properly seated, and other procedures failed to isolate fault. FSK Systems only.

Video is noisy, rolling,  dark or shows excessive ghosting when deployed (note: some out-of water video distortion is normal due to LBV’s proximity to SPS).

Depth Data is Erroneous: Reads full-scale negative, or value does not change.

Depth Value shifts to lesser value during deployment. ROV software version is 2.01 or earlier.

Overlay Depth and Heading display ’777’ & ‘7777’.

White (or Light-Colored) ‘targets’ appear on Sonar display in or out of water. FSK Systems Only.

Sonar displays ‘Timeout’ when LBV is energized, or Sonar Sweep moves in steps/is irregular. This occurs with first-time use, or new computers.

Notes on systems with various options fitted.
